Reflection

The cult analysis project was another one of my favorites of this course. No matter who you are, learning about a cult is going to be super fascinating. Not only did we get to learn about cults, but we learned how they work in terms of persuasion and conformity. I had watched a few cult documentaries before, but I never thought about it in a social psychological perspective. Researching this cult through that lens was super interesting and honestly really fun to research. The way I think of people who join cults has also shifted. I learned that the psychology of conformity is often times much more powerful than we think.
